Game, Set And Match. The Business Masters Where European Are The World Champions

With his 13th French Open tennis title at Roland Garros this weekend, Spain’s Rafael Nadal has equalled Roger Federer’s record of 20 Grand Slam men’s titles. Croatia’s Novak Djokovic, with 17 Grand Slams to his name will need at least another year if he is to catch up on his rivals.

Nadal won his first French Open tennis title in 2005. In the past 15 years, few things in the world of sport have been as sure. When it comes to men’s tennis, Europeans are the Masters of the Court.

There is a similar pattern of European domination in the Masters of Management (MiM). This pre-experience business degree has seen tremendous growth in the last decade, as college

Why Kanye West’s fight for his masters marks a changing music industry

In September, Kanye West took to Twitter to declare the music industry (and NBA) “modern day slave ships”, as he sought to regain the rights to his master recordings. He explained: “When you sign a music deal you sign away your rights. Without the masters you can’t do anything with your own music. Someone else controls where it’s played and when it’s played. Artists have nothing accept [sic] the fame, touring and merch.”

For West, owning his masters, some of which are held by label Universal Music and publisher Sony/ATV, is personal. “My children will own my own masters, not your children, my children,” he followed up. Since then, West has pledged that all artists signed to his own GOOD Music label will get back the 50% share he holds in their masters. He’s also proposed an eight-point plan for

Sandra Masters speaks outside of Regina city hall ahead of the 2020 municipal election.

Regina mayoral candidate Sandra Masters unveiled a campaign platform focused on “creating a Regina for every citizen” Thursday morning.

Speaking outside of Regina city hall, Masters promised to save money through streamlining operations, create a safer community with proactive policing and anti-poverty measures and to grow local business with a plan based on “four key pillars”.

“They’re broad buckets, but I believe they encompass much of what I hope to accomplish with council and administration,” Masters said in her stump speech.

“Regina is being out-invested and out-hustled in economic development, our feeling of safety has diminished, we’re losing young people and our city is looking in need of care. And for years we’ve offered symbolism and promises instead of action.”

Masters in management school alliances offer a degree of difference

When Rebeca Ehrnrooth wanted international experience to supplement the management training she was offered at the Stockholm School of Economics in her native Sweden, she joined an innovative programme offering the chance to continue her studies at Erasmus University in Rotterdam.

She became part of the Global Alliance in Management Education (Cems) — formerly the Community of European Management Schools — a pioneer in a growing trend of partnerships between business schools to enrich students’ experience. It offers training at its different business schools, and the work placements on offer and network of graduates remain powerful attractions for those who compete to attend its “masters within a masters” — an approach that other alliances have since sought to emulate.

Two decades later, Ehrnrooth works for a sustainable investment fund in London, and oversees the alumni network she joined that continues to support her and her peers. “Wherever you go, you
